Feb 20 meeting update

Way to go!!

I thought I would send out a quick up-date from this evening meeting at Sedalia Elementary.  I was very satisfied with the turnout and with everyone that spoke and shared from their heart.  I want you all to hear the answer that council member Mary Rakestraw said when at the end I asked her “What is your position on this annexation?”  she said “I oppose this annexation

The purpose of the meeting was to  explain our concerns to one or two council members.  Therefore they could ask questions of us and form an informed opinion about this annexation decision for themselves before they have to vote.

We are doing what we can!  I am proud of  each of you that took your time to come out and to stay informed and helping promote the cause.  If enough of us keep fighting I believe we have a opportunity to delay this annexation for a few years.  Our words resonated very well with both Dick Hails, from city planning, and with council member Rakestraw this evening.  I think if we can keep this up and work with a few more council members, and if we fill the council meeting room on April 1st  we will get a favorable decision.  THAT WILL BE SO AWESOME!!

Council member T. Dianne Bellemy-Small was not able to make the meeting, she came down with a cold this afternoon.   She will meet with us.

A few reminders from council member Rakestraw, 1. Stay connected with our group, 2. Talk to each council member 3. Send a personal letter (not a form letter) to each council member 4. Attend each and every meeting to make your voice heard.

Ohhh yea, we had some great coverage on the T.V. at 10pm on Fox news.
